One of my models (talking of journalism) is Cederna Camilla; her pen, biting and caustic, was able to catch the vices and virtues, honor and burden of the Italian people, talking about fashion and costume. He knew with ironic wit to grasp the weak side of things, persons, situations: the uproar of the festivities, caught too decadent, to grasp the conformity of fashion in articles which, read even today, are still alive.
We are (almost) all able to complain about anything, and I often say “It was better when it was worse”: we complain (rightly) about the political situation, for the employment situation, meritocracy. I find paradoxically and ironically now a joke that Camilla Cederna mentioned in an article written in 1967: “In RAI they have placed two Socialists, two Democrats and a good one. “ Some things are truly timeless.
